London & onwards
Jessica & I both slept like logs as the weekend caught up with us. We quickly did our morning routine & decided on buying a hop on/hop off bus tour ticket to see as much of the sites of London as we could. The day was sunny & fairly warm as we grabbed seats up top for the best views along London’s most popular streets. We drove past all the famous monuments, getting off near Buckingham Palace & wandering around, taking pictures & speculating on what it would be like to be Royalty.
Evelyn messaged that she was nearby, so we hit up a traditional English pub & met her for more visiting. I refreshed with a pint of cider & after a quick catchup, said our goodbyes & off we went to hop on the bus again & see as much more of London as we could.
But, frankly we were exhausted….& I usually push myself long past points I should, so I was happy Jessica took the reins & wanted to Uber it back to the Indian Lounge for our cooking lesson. We entered to warm hugs from the boys & were lead downstairs to the kitchen where the chef was eager to show off his skills & grab my butt. Haha. We were shown a lamb curry & the most aromatic coconut rice dish before packing all the food into takeaway containers for us to enjoy later…all on the house! Such sweet people!!
We got back to our room, packed, nibbled the Indian food while chatting our final chats before turning in as I had an Uber booked for 4 a.m. to take me to Luton airport to go to Krakow & Jessica a taxi at 5 a.m. to Heathrow & back to California. Dreaded train strikes…those taxi rides cost us dearly!!
That was a whirlwind! Six days with Jessica & five with Evelyn made our friendship solid! To come together for Peter & Charlie’s wedding was the absolute best! Until next time girls & boys! You’ll be in my hearts forever!
Off to Krakow & more adventures!
